Simpson Disc Golf Course:
With the installation of the first 9 holes, Albany's latest addition to the growing family of courses in the mid Willamette Valley, is a dream come true. Reclaimed from the black berries and years of neglect, Simpson is fast becoming another success story. Simpson, nestled on the banks of the mighty Willamette River and Simpson Lake, offers a wide range of shot possibilities. The course snakes it's way through the park giving the player challenging but fair holes to enjoy. The parks limited access and strange shape gave course designers many headaches. Given all the limitations of the park, the designers utilize the parks most unique feature, Simpson Lake, to great effect. The lake comes into play on three of the first four holes. Playing along, at, and over the lake gives this course a unique feel. From wide open water holes to heavily wooded tunnel holes this course is a great addition to the mid Willamette Valley.
